He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Michigan Technological University.
Simon PotvinEXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT and CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, WOOD PROCESSING
Simon started his career with Comact in 1990 as a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Laval University. Simon’s extensive experience in the forest products sector places him in an ideal position to lead Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Research and Development for BID Group. He is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.

Adam joined BID Group in 2020. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant. Previously, Adam held senior financial and operational positions in a large forest products company. The combination of Adam’s education and extensive operational experience is a significant addition to the Executive team.

Rick Wilson joined BID Group in 2017 after a 27-year career with a large multinational forest products company, where he served as Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategic Capital. Rick brings broad senior-level forest products industry experience that supports the company’s growth and industry-leading transformation objectives. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant
Travis McDonaldEXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT, TURNKEY SOLUTIONS
Travis joined BID Group in 2018 after a 25-year career with a large multinational forest products company as Director of Strategic Capital. Travis has broad and deep experience in design engineering and capital program management with a proven track record of initiating, designing and executing large technical projects. Travis is responsible for leading Turnkey Sales and Construction services with our highly valued customers. Travis is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Mechanical Engineering and earned a master’s certificate in Project Management from Villanova.

Steven joined BID Group in 2017 after a 22-year career in multiple disciplines across the forest industry. Steven’s extensive forest and business experience has positioned him to lead our key growth sectors of After-sales Services, Digital Transformation and BID Automation. Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies and Economics from the University of Victoria and completed his Executive Education at the University of Chicago.

Chris joined BID Group in 2011 after a 25-year career of industry related experience in Service, Product Management, R&D, Customer Loyalty and Aftermarket Sales. Chris transitioned to SVP Reliability as the company fortified its commitment to long term support & responsiveness to our highly value customers. Having relocated to the US South in 2016, Chris continues to leverage his hands-on knowledge of technology based sawmilling practices in building world class teams and solutions to meet and exceed our customer’s needs.

Jody joined BID Group in 2008 after a 25-year career in operations in the forest sector. Jody’s extensive knowledge of the sawmill and construction disciplines has positioned him to lead our health and safety programs across the company.
